TIC will be speaking at the US Embassy on alternative ways of looking at HIV/AIDS, 19 July-6 Aug 2010

TIC will host a Woman’s empowerment conference on 16-19 September 2010, with guest speakers such as Seemi Ghazi and Farah Zeb, seeking to challenge the patriachy within Islam and empower Muslim women.

TIC’s Personal Empowerment Programme will be starting on the 27 May 2010. 3 month programme consisting of weekly Halqaat and workshops that will enable participants to find answers about themselves, their life’s purpose and the world in which they live.

TIC will be having their Annual International Retreat from 24 April to 27 April 2009 at Monkey Valley Resort in Noordhoek, South Africa. It will be a weekend of spiritual awakening and educational empowerment. This year’s topical discussion will be around The impact of Shariah on Gender and Sexual Minorities in Africa. An engagement by Islamic scholars in panel discussions as well as reports on the LGBTI state of things in west and north african countries by representatives. With meditational and spiritual empowering sessions to bring a perfect balance to the weekend’s program.

TIC will be hosting a fundraiser Karaoke and Dance on 3 April 2009 at Claremont Hall, Claremont, Cape Town, SA. The event starts at 8:30pm till late with bottomless refreshments and great music! All to the summery sunset theme of Hawaii!….Tickets can be bought at the door for R60
