The Inner Circle strives to re-educate and create awareness amongst its clients and members through the following programs and a schedule of these programs can be found on our Activity Calendar.

Workshops are conducted on a monthly and quarterly basis as needed. Some workshops are educational, psycho-educational and health /lifestyle related workshops. These workshops will be scheduled on our website well before the time so you have enough time to book for a workshop. These workshops are conducted by professionals in their area of work.

Training on Islam & Sexual Diversity is offered to TIC staff, volunteers, organizations and institutions. These training sessions focuses mainly on Islam and Sexuality and dispelling the myths around homosexuality in Islam. A training session normally last between 4 to 6 hours and can be booked via the office. Training at TIC offices are free of charge. There is a cost involve if our facilitator have to use your premises.

Halaqaat (study circles) are conducted on a weekly basis in Cape Town and Johannesburg. These study circles provide an opportunity for members to look at Islam objectively and examining scriptural text that have been used to discriminate against sexual minorities, women and people of other beliefs. View the activity calendar for the next scheduled Halqah or view the Halaqaat page for articles on previous Halaqaat topics. These Halaqaat are conducted by Islamic Scholars and well-trained staff.

Arabic Classes are on offer every Tuesday night for the next six months to those who can at the least read Arabic and wish to improve on their literacy. these classes are free to TIC members and R10 for non-members.

Group Sessions on lifestyle, emotional freedom techniques, relaxation, gender & sexuality are conducted by professional psychologists and therapists periodically as requested.

The Inner Circle also provide workshops and training to organizations, institutions and schools who wish to learn more about Islam & Sexual Diversity. These 3 hour workshops deals intensely with:

Annual International Retreat is a opportunity for queer Muslims and others to gain a sense of community. The AIR program is also a very spiritual one in which we encourage practicing Islam.

The AIR program is normally held over a weekend within nature at a holiday resort and is made up of workshops, group discussions, presentations and lots of recreational activity.
