This program started in 2013 and it is an abridged version of IPEP. It targets those people who, for one reason or the other, are not in a position to commit themselves to three months of training under IPEP. It is a one week workshop which involves extensive training in Islam and sexual diversity. Like IPEP, it attracts people from different backgrounds. Through the training, these people are equipped with the knowledge and skills to reconcile Islam with sexuality. They are also trained with the goal to ensure that they will be ‘agents of transformation’ in the communities where they belong in order to advance the cause of TIC. Participants are also required to continue to network with the organization with the view to give feedback regarding their post-training life and activities and also to inform TIC on how the training has impacted their lives. One of the major outcomes of this workshop is the production of the ‘on becoming you’ work book. This work book is expected to make a significant contribution towards clarifying the relationship between Islam and sexual diversity.
